WOMEN VETERANS

The Military Women's Memorial honors and tells the stories of women, past and present, who serve our nation.  Over three million women have served in or with the Armed Forces since the American Revolution.   The Military Women's Memorial Register is a one-of-a-kind interactive database that records and preserves the names, service information, photographs and memorable experiences of each registered servicewoman who have defended this country - both past and present.

Team Jennifer Cahill Charities is a non-profit organization that aims to assist female veterans.  Their primary mission is to help female veterans diagnosed with terminal cancer who do not have life or burial insurance.  Their organization also provides female veterans with support when affected by post-traumatic stress, military sexual trauma, or domestic partner abuse.

The VA Center for Women Veterans advocates for equitable outcomes and access to VA benefits, services, and opportunities for women Veterans through education, outreach, and collaboration.  The VA CWV accomplishes this by empowering women Veterans to achieve their life goals through VA benefits and services in collaboration with community stakeholders.

The VA Women Veterans Health Care works to transform resources, services, and culture to meet the unique health care needs of women Veterans.  Office of Women's Health ensures that women Veterans have access to all the care they need including comprehensive general health and reproductive health services. Women Veterans are at-risk for some types of illness due to their military service, including but not limited to musculoskeletal issues, chronic pain, PTSD, and the experience of military sexual trauma. VA Office of Womens Health was created to address these needs with a focus on gender-specific care offered in a safe environment at all sites of care.
