Roots for Boots, a local non-profit grassroots organization, provides opportunities for community volunteers to use their gifts, talents and resources to assist in addressing the specific needs and challenges of our active duty servicemembers, families, and caregivers. Through Roots for Boots, ordinary citizens now have the opportunity to serve their country by assisting those who sacrificed in the name of freedom.

Roots for Boots helps our military veteran community in many ways - rent/utilities, home repairs, wheelchair ramps, active trackchairs, and more.

 

Roots for Boots coordinates the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank distribution of MilitaryShare - designed to provide fresh, nutritious foods for active duty and veteran families.  Additionally, Roots for Boots collects donations for a monthly food bank.
