Are you a veteran that would like to know more about benefit programs available to you?
Mr. James P. Stafford, an Army veteran and Veterans' Service Specialist for the Southeastern Pennsylvania Region, PA Department of Veterans Affairs, discussed veteran benefit programs on Thursday May 2, 2024, from 6:30PM-8:30PM in the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2506 Banquet Hall (19 McKinley Avenue, Hanover, PA). As one of Pennsylvania's
VETConnect team members, Mr. Stafford travels across his region to determine the needs of veterans and their beneficiaries, find resources that meet those needs, and connect veterans with those resources.
Mr. Stafford took time after the presentation to provide responses to questions. One of the key takeaways from the responses to questions from the audience was that the County, State, and Federal Veterans Affairs have a goal to work together to support veterans. For most claims, the first step recommended is to connect with the county veteran affairs office (
ADAMS,
YORK) to start the process of filing any claims.
Information booklets and additional materials were provided to all attendees and representatives from the local veterans organizations.
This event was sponsored by the Hanover Allied Veterans Council.
